J. Wukotich Very impressed with this work. It’s just enough like Massive Attack to warrant a comparison, and anyone remotely interested in Massive Attack would welcome any music on par, which Urbanature very much is. But the comparison doesn’t completely extend to the instrumental compositions. This is where Erik Strauss shows off his spectacular breezy beat filled vision. Highly recommended, indeed.

Michael Strauss won't break a 🐪 camel's back or get stuck in a 🐢 turtle's nose. What you get from Strauss is good music. Get it if you like it. Having good stuff in your collection will probably make you a much happier person. Favorite track: Devil's Garden.

Jean-Paul DuQuette Inoffensive collection of mellow down-tempo lo-fi hip-hop and instrumental electronica. Favorite track: Devil's Garden.

They entered secretly Through ignorance Of the people In your habits Day by day Stealing time and energy We're all under attack From the dark side Of technology We're all under attack From the dark side Of technology It's time to wake up Nothing is real It's time to wake up Nothing is real It's time to wake up Nothing is real It's time to wake up Nothing is real Don't lie to yourself is not a progress Don't lie to yourself it's a regress Is there a way to come back? Is there a way to come back? Is there a way to come back? Is there a way to come back? Is there a way to come back? Is there a way to come back? (Day by day stealing time and energy...) We're all under attack From the dark side Of technology We're all under attack From the dark side Of technology

about

A lot of concrete buildings have been abandoned and nature wants its space back by trying to wrap and break them.
This is the concept behind the album: "Urbanature".

The tracks are heavily influenced by trip-hop and alternative sounds of '90s (Massive Attack, Portishead, Garbage, etc.)

All the photos for the sleeve cover art and labels and music video for "Darkside (a Way to Come Back)" are entirely my own productions.
